Reverse Engineering with CMM & 3D Scanning

A new level of intricacy and precision can now be achieved when producing parts thanks to the development of 3D printing. In the industry of manufacturing, change is continual. In some circumstances, though, it's vital to reproduce or improve on already-existing parts without having access to the original blueprints. Reverse engineering is one strategy that may be used in this situation. In order to produce 3D models of existent parts, reverse engineering requires the use of advanced scanning and measurement techniques. My team used coordinate measurement tools and 3D scanning to evaluate the process of reverse engineering 3D printed parts in a report (CMM). From the collection and processing of data to the development of 3D models, the team examined every step of the process.
